The Role
We're hiring an e-bike delivery driver to get orders safely and promptly to customers across Hoboken and parts of Weehawken, Jersey City, and Union City. This is a great fit for someone who's reliable, comfortable on two wheels in all weather conditions, and wants steady part-time hours with W-2 pay and extra benefits.
Although scheduling may change, our plan is to start this role at 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM shifts, with availability required for at least 4 of our 6 open days per week (Tuesday - Sunday). These hours may expand or change.
What You'll Do
- Be available for any delivery orders during your assigned delivery window
- Safely operate an e-bike to deliver cannabis orders throughout our delivery area
- Verify customer identity and age (21+) at every delivery, per NJ-CRC regulations
- Handle inventory pursuant to our Standard Operating Procedures
- Communicate with the store on delays, route issues, or order problems
- Represent Blue Violets with professionalism and thoughtfulness
What You'll Need
- Must be 21 years of age or older (New Jersey cannabis regulatory requirement)
- An e-bike with State registration and insurance (if you don’t have an e-bike, or you do have an e-bike but is not insured, we may assist with costs)
- Valid, government-issued photo ID
- Ability to comfortably and safely operate an e-bike in varying weather and traffic conditions
- Must obtain NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ-CRC) individual employee registration (we'll walk you through the process)
- Reliable and punctual, able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
- Strong communication and customer-service instincts
Nice to Have, But Not Required
- Previous delivery, courier, retail, or hospitality experience
- Familiarity with Hoboken streets and neighborhoods
- Hoboken, Jersey City, Weehawken, or Union City residency strongly preferred
