Landscape Construction Technician
Pan’s Gardens
Pan’s Gardens is a small landscape design and build company based in Boulder County specializing in drought-tolerant, native, and sustainable residential landscapes. We create custom gardens that combine thoughtful design with quality craftsmanship, including natural stone patios, gravel gardens, rock gardens, meadow plantings, irrigation, and beautiful plant installations.
We aren’t a lawn maintenance company—we build landscape/gardens
Schedule
- Approximately 24 hours per week
- Typical four 6 hour shifts
- Starting the first week of August
- Position expected through Thanksgiving, with the possibility of continuing into the winter depending on weather and project schedule
Compensation
- $30/hour during a two-week trial period
- Pay is negotiable afterward based on experience, performance, and responsibility
- Applicants with landscape construction experience, work truck experience, trailer towing, irrigation, or stonework experience may qualify for higher pay.
Responsibilities
- Shoveling, raking, grading, and site preparation
- Digging trenches for irrigation
- Using shovels, pickaxes, wheelbarrows, and other hand tools
- Moving soil, mulch, gravel, and natural stone
- Assisting with boulder placement
- Planting trees, shrubs, grasses, and perennials
- General landscape construction
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site
This is physically demanding outdoor work. You should enjoy working outside, staying active, and building high-quality landscapes.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Able to repeatedly lift 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Able to follow instructions while working independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Applicants with experience in landscaping, construction, irrigation, stonework, gardening, arboriculture, farming, trail work, or other physically demanding outdoor work are especially encouraged to apply.
