Project Superintendent – Data Center Construction

Permanent salary: Up to $140,000
Contract: Competitive hourly rate + negotiable per diem for travellers
Are you an experienced Construction Superintendent who knows how to keep trades moving, installations on schedule and a busy project site under control?
We're looking for a Project Superintendent to support a major data center project in Dalton, Georgia. You don't need previous data center experience — we're primarily interested in people with strong electrical, MEP, low-voltage or complex commercial construction experience who are comfortable managing onsite installation teams.
The key objective is straightforward: manage the physical installation of the controls infrastructure and make sure the site is ready for the technical team to complete their work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and coordinate onsite construction teams and contractors
- Oversee conduit, wire/cabling and associated controls infrastructure installation
- Coordinate electrical and low-voltage contractors
- Keep construction activities progressing against schedule and project milestones
- Ensure installation quality, safety and code requirements are maintained
- Identify and resolve site issues, delays and dependencies
- Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors and equipment vendors
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, change orders and construction documentation
- Track progress and provide clear updates to project management
- Ensure areas and systems are construction-ready for controls technicians and commissioning teams
What We're Looking For
You don't need to be a controls programmer or commissioning specialist. We're looking for someone who understands construction and knows how to manage people and trades to get the installation completed.
You'll ideally have:
- Construction Superintendent, Site Superintendent, Electrical Superintendent, MEP Superintendent or similar experience
- Experience managing contractors and trades on active construction projects
- Knowledge of electrical, low-voltage, controls or MEP installation
- Familiarity with conduit and cabling installation
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong site leadership, coordination and communication skills
- OSHA 30 certification
- Ability to work onsite in Dalton Monday–Friday
Experience on data centers, hospitals, universities, large commercial buildings or other technically complex construction projects would be particularly relevant.
Previous data center experience is preferred but not required.
Contract or Permanent
We're flexible on how we hire.
The initial preference is for a contractor available through approximately the end of 2026, but permanent candidates will also be considered.
For contractors who don't live locally, we're open to candidates who can travel into Dalton each week, with per diem negotiable in addition to the contract rate.
Site hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.
