Occupational Therapist (OT) – Lymphedema Certified $5,000 sign on BONUS
Therapy at Home is seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist with Lymphedema Certification to join our growing therapy team. This position is ideal for an OT who enjoys working independently and providing individualized care to clients in their homes and senior living communities throughout the Greater Milwaukee area.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled Occupational Therapy evaluations and treatments in clients' homes and senior living communities.
- Provide specialized lymphedema assessment and treatment.
- Develop individualized plans of care focused on improving ADLs, functional independence, safety, mobility, and quality of life.
- Provide patient and caregiver education regarding lymphedema management, compression, skin care, positioning, and home programs.
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, families/POAs, case managers, facility staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Identify when clients may benefit from additional PT, OT, Speech Therapy, or other healthcare services.
- Participate in care coordination and communication with our senior living and community partners.
Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin Occupational Therapist license in good standing.
- Lymphedema certification required.
- Experience treating lymphedema patients preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a community-based setting.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned territories.
- Comfortable utilizing electronic documentation and technology.
