Position Overview
MaxiAids is the top supplier of products designed to assist seniors, the visually & hearing impaired, as well as those who have various medical, and mobility challenges. We are currently looking to add a FULL TIME - IT ADMINISTRATOR to our growing team!
The IT Administrator is primarily responsible for supporting the day-to-day IT operations of the company, as well as providing technical support to our employees.
Key Responsibilities
- End-user Support: Provide both hardware and software support for staff with a wide variety of issues including troubleshooting, technical inquiries, and device management.
- Infrastructure Management: Monitor and maintain a comprehensive range of hardware and software, including Windows Servers (2008–2022), firewalls (SonicWall), switches, and wireless access points.
- Systems Administration: Ability to work independently and with a remote team to manage core services such, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Hyper-V environments. In addition, ability to manage other various critical systems, such as backup management, DVR/NVR, PBX, etc.
- Deployment & Support: Lead the deployment of computer hardware and software solutions, spanning a wide range from individual workstations to much larger company wide roll-outs hardware and software projects.
- Vendor Relations & Procurement: Work directly with third-party vendors and specialized software providers to ensure seamless business operations. Evaluate hardware/software needs, and execute strategic purchasing of equipment and services.
Qualifications
- STRONG troubleshooting/problem solving skills. Proven experience in managing a complex IT infrastructure, specifically within Windows Server environments.
- STRONG people and communication skills. Ability to speak and write clearly, ability to explain technical problems or situations to people with a less technical background.
- STRONG technical proficiency in cybersecurity norms in Windows environments. Ability to quickly find and patch cybersecurity flaws. Ability to learn, adapt and to keep up to date on new and emerging threats.
- Basic working knowledge of various programming languages (HTML, CSS, SQL)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced shipping environment. Flexibility and capacity to learn quickly, keeping current with the latest developments in information technology and security standards.
Education / Experience
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
- Two - Four years supporting and maintaining complex IT infrastructure & critical network infrastructure may be combined with or used in place of above education requirement.
- CompTIA, Microsoft or other I.T. Industry certifications are a big plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform work at heights (climbing Stairs, ladders or scaffolding).
- Ability to work in various physical positions (kneeling, squatting, stooping).
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50+ lbs), alone or as part of a team.

Pay: $72,000 - $75,000
