Job Summary:
At Harmony Care at Beaumont, we are seeking a compassionate and experienced Activity Director to lead our recreational therapy programs and create a engaging environment for our residents. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and coordinating activities that promote socialization, physical exercise, and mental stimulation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and implement recreational programs for residents, including concerts, art classes, exercise programs, and community outings
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and meet the unique needs of each resident
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance our program offerings and promote resident engagement
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal resident experience
- Supervise and train activity assistants and volunteers to ensure high-quality care and attention to detail
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including resident participation, program evaluations, and scheduling
Requirements:
Licensed Activity Director
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and volunteers
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds, with occasional bending and standing
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
