QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School diploma required.
2. Demonstrate aptitude for the work to be performed.
3. Possesses sound emotional judgment and ability to think clearly.
4. Ability to work with adults and students of various personalities and
deal with student conflict resolutions
5. Preference given to certified teacher or individual working towards
certification.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB GOAL: To supervise students both in and outside of the building. To monitor student
behavior and maintain a calm, orderly and safe atmosphere.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Help maintain an orderly lunch room and in-school suspension room.
2. Monitor for appropriate student interactions, and intervene when
necessary.
3. Monitor for safe behavior and intervene when necessary to stop
actions that could result in an injury to a student.
4. Monitor to prevent bullying situations and intervene to stop actions
that could escalate to conflict.
5. Enforce school rules.
6. Help maintain an orderly entrance to the building.
7. Informs any administrator immediately of any serious incident.
8. Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of
information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by the building principal.
10. Regular and reliable attendance
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Nine month work year. Salary and work to be determined by the Board of
Education. Performance will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of
Board’s policy of Evaluation of Support Service Personnel.
