Our organization partners with respected physicians and psychologists to streamline practice operations, allowing clinicians to focus exclusively on delivering high-quality, objective medical-legal evaluations.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand for psychological evaluations within California's Workers' Compensation system, we are seeking experienced and newly certified Qualified Medical Evaluators (QMEs) in Psychology to join our expanding network.
Position Overview
As a Qualified Medical Examiner, you will perform comprehensive psychological evaluations for injured workers, prepare thorough medical-legal reports, and provide impartial expert opinions regarding psychological injury, causation, impairment, apportionment, and work-related disability.
Our management team provides full administrative support, including scheduling, records management, billing and collections coordination, report processing, and client relations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent psychological evaluations in accordance with California workers' compensation regulations.
- Review medical, employment, and legal documentation.
- Perform clinical interviews and psychological testing when indicated.
- Prepare timely, well-supported medical-legal reports.
- Address issues related to causation, diagnosis, impairment, apportionment, and treatment recommendations.
- Participate in depositions and testimony when required.
- Maintain compliance with California Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) standards.
Qualifications
- Active California Medical License in Psychiatry
- Current California Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) certification in Psychiatry,or eligibility and interest in obtaining QME certification.
- Strong report-writing and analytical skills.
- Commitment to objective, evidence-based assessments.
