Job Summary:
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Technician supports the execution of improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. This role works directly on the production floor to collect data, implement process improvements, assist with problem-solving activities, and sustain operational standards.
Main Responsibilities:

Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Collect, validate, and analyze production data (OEE, scrap, downtime, cycle time, among others).

Develop and support during trials, validations, process adjustments, new product or process introduction.

Implement, audit and optimize Point of Use Storage (POUS) at production floor, align material requirements with purchasing based on consumption and demand.

Promote a safe work environment by integrating safety considerations into all CI activities and identifying ergonomic or hazard-reduction opportunities.

Responsible for selecting and training key personnel from different areas to incorporate the culture of "Lean Manufacturing" in the company.

Develop strategies or projects aim increasing the overall equipment efficiency.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for Axis processes and equipment.

Drive a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in the company.

Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma, OR Equivalency Certificate, (GED (General Education Degree))

Must have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

1-2 years of experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing, preferred.

Must be able to read and understand the Procedures and Work Instructions for the position held.

PC Skills in Microsoft Applications, i.e., MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SAP.

Able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow job and safety requirements.
