Holmdel Physical Therapy is seeking a reliable, highly-motivated, energetic, licensed physical therapy assistant with excellent communication skills to join our team.
We provide an individualized, "hands-on" approach with our patients. Starting with a thorough examination, we then develop a plan of care that promotes the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to aid in recovery.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes and home care strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
- Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform treatment decisions.
- Experience with effective planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Ability to handle a minimum of 10 patients per day.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of physical therapy.
