Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and treatments to meet client needs and preferences
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable hair care solutions and products
- Apply advanced techniques such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and equipment in accordance with industry regulations
- Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
- Educate clients on hair care routines, product usage, and retail options to foster loyalty and upselling opportunities
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing wait times, and ensuring a seamless salon experience
- Mentor new team members and support store management in daily operations to promote a collaborative environment
Skills
- Proficiency with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
- Strong knowledge of hair care principles, color theory, and current styling trends
- Skilled in hair coloring techniques, barbering including straight razor work, and advanced styling methods
- Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on customer service excellence
- Ability to perform specialized services like nail care, makeup application, retail sales, and hair threading
- Excellent communication skills for effective client consultation and team collaboration
- Knowledge of sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
