Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Door Installer Helper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist experienced door installers in the installation, repair, and remodeling of doors, frames, and related fixtures across various construction sites. Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn will contribute to smooth project execution and ensure high-quality results. Duties
- Assist with the installation of doors, frames, trim, and hardware using hand tools and power tools
- Support the setup and alignment of door assemblies according to schematics and blueprints
- Help with heavy lifting of doors, frames, and related materials to ensure safe handling and proper placement
- Prepare work sites by measuring, marking, and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
- Aid in fabricating components as needed using welding equipment or metal stud framing techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects, including cabinet installation, fixture mounting, and caulking
Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction site work is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Basic mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, drills, and wrenches
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Knowledge of building codes and safety standards related to door hanging and fixture installation
- Experience interpreting technical drawings, schematics, or blueprints for accurate installation
- Familiarity with welding, fabrication techniques, or electrical experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail with good communication skills for effective teamwork
