Master Scheduler / Production Scheduler
Job Summary
The Master Scheduler is a critical role responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving production schedules, labor plans, and material flow to ensure the on-time delivery of manufactured products. This position plays a key role in translating customer demand into executable production plans while balancing capacity, labor, and supply chain constraints.
In addition to core scheduling responsibilities, this role will actively support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing improvement of ERP systems and planning tools. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, self-driven, and capable of operating independently while using creativity and initiative to improve systems, processes, and planning methodologies.

Core Responsibilities
Production Scheduling & Planning
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the master production schedule.
- Monitor and adjust schedules based on demand, capacity, and supply constraints.
- Ensure schedules maximize throughput and on-time delivery.
Labor & Capacity Planning
- Forecast labor requirements and identify bottlenecks.
- Align staffing with production needs.
ERP System Support & Development
- Assist with ERP system implementation and optimization.
- Serve as a key user for planning and scheduling modules.
- Identify system gaps and develop solutions.
Advanced Excel & Planning Tools
- Develop advanced Excel-based planning models and trackers.
- Use Excel creatively to support scheduling and reporting needs.
Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate material availability with production schedules.
- Monitor inventory and manage engineering changes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales teams.
- Participate in S&OP and production meetings.
Reporting & Analysis
- Track KPIs such as schedule adherence, labor performance and on-time delivery.
- Analyze trends and drive corrective actions.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- APICS certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in scheduling or manufacturing planning.
- ERP implementation experience preferred.
Skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- ERP/MRP system expertise.
- Strong analytical, communication, and independent work skills.
Physical Requirements
- Office-based with manufacturing floor interaction.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed.
Pay: From $51,000.00 per year
