American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position requiring NY licensure, EPIC experience, and Micropace monitoring system proficiency.

Work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab of a hospital setting
-
13-week assignment with day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM)
-
No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
-
1:1 patient ratio
-
Floating required
-
Facility will attempt to accommodate block scheduling but cannot guarantee it

Active NY RN license required in hand
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of EP Lab experience required
-
EPIC charting system experience required
-
Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV insertion
-
Must be able to scrub and/or use the Micropace monitoring system for ablations
-
Skilled in EP procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, and pacemaker/AICD insertion
-
Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) and topical hemostasis techniques
-
Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
-
Experience administering antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and thrombolytics

Skilled in blood product administration and care/maintenance of implanted ports
-
Responsibilities include scrub and circulate procedures for EP cases such as ablations, cardiac mapping, and pacemaker/AICD insertions
-
Perform sheath removal and monitoring, along with ACT (Activated Clotting Time) testing
-
Scrubs are provided
-
First-time travelers are accepted

Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

No more than 1 week of RTO permitted during the contract

Previous charge experience is preferred

Candidates with pending NY licenses will not be accepted

Previous staff must have a 1-year break in service before returning
