RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as a Pack Repair Technician in our Morehead, KY location!
Your Job
We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused individual to support the repair, modification, retrofit, and maintenance of work-in-process (WIP) packaging, racks, carriers, bulk bins, and returnable containers used throughout manufacturing operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring packaging assets remain available, functional, and production-ready while supporting cost reduction through internal repair and retrofit activities. The successful candidate will work with a variety of materials, tools, and packaging systems and must be comfortable performing hands-on repair and fabrication work in a manufacturing environment.
What you Will do in Your Role
- Safely repair and refurbish WIP racks, carriers, bulk bins, and returnable packaging assets.
- Install, replace, and modify dunnage components including foam, curtains, bags, flaps, dividers, and protective materials.
- Perform packaging retrofit projects supporting engineering changes, product launches, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and specifications to ensure repairs and retrofits are completed correctly.
- Measure, cut, fit, and install packaging materials to specification.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and functionality requirements are met.
- Document labor and project activity through Maintenance Connection and other company systems.
- Stage and prepare packaging assets for shipment when outside repair services are required.
- Load and unload trailers using forklifts while strictly following all dock safety and usage protocols.
- Maintain organization of materials, equipment, and work areas.
- Secure all tools, equipment, and flammable materials at the end of each shift.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or Ged preferred.
- Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to learn Maintenance Connection within the first 30 days of employment.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Preferred experience in manufacturing, construction, maintenance, fabrication, repair, packaging, or related trades.
- Preferred experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Preferred experience with Maintenance Connection.
- Preferred experience reading technical drawings.
- Welding experience is a plus but not required.
