Blue Anchors Preschool is an in-home preschool located in Vacaville, CA. We are a play-based, Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool and childcare facility that focuses on Social and Emotional learning and indoor and outdoor exploration. Our goals are to offer the best quality care and program that we can to the children in our community. The program is designed to allow children to explore their interests hands-on while learning through doing and playing. We are looking to fill a long term position by August.
Schedule: Schedule needing to be filled depending on schedule needs can be the following
- Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 1:30 pm
- Available to work 7:45am to 4:30pm if needed
- Must have open availability to work the whole day based on schedule needs
Pay: $17.00/hr to $20.00/hr
- Based on education and experience
- Pay raises available
Job opening:
- Able to work Monday to Friday (6 to 8 hour shifts) starting with in a month
Benefits:
- May receive up to 65 hours a year of paid time off

Job Description: Can include the following but are not limited to:
- Working with children who are between the ages of 12months- 5 years.
- Accountable for the where abouts of children daily.
- Create a loving play-based environment that is fun, safe, and engaging.
- Communicate with parents about the daily activities and child’s successes (if interacting with parents).
- Note children’s successes, milestones, and daily activities through photos and written documentation.
- Help create age-appropriate activities that are play-based and child-led.
- Go on walks and adventures while being accountable of the whereabouts of the children.
- Clean and organize the room and bathroom daily, pre-setting up activities at the end of the day.
- Helping serve meals, diaper changing and assisting in potty training.
- Help come up with activities for daily projects.
Job Qualifications:
- Required:
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or a GED.
- Able to pass a background check with no criminal history.
- All immunizations are current and up to date with a TB test within the last year or able to obtain TB test.
- Able to lift over 40 pounds.
- Able to go on long walks and hikes (3 miles or more in a day)
- Able to push a Wonderfold Wagon with up to 4 children in it (300-pound weight limit).
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Have passion working with children and an interest in the development of children.
- Preferred:
- 12 or more college units in either ECE or CAD
- At least 6 months of experience, 12 months preferred.
- Current and up to date CPR/ First aid certification in pediatric and adult.
