Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER), Operating Room (OR), and Medical-Surgical (MS/Tele) units to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in ER, OR, MS, and Telemetry units, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision, including IV infusions, suturing, and aseptic techniques.
- Monitor vital signs and physiological parameters using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner to ensure timely documentation and communication.
- Assist with complex procedures such as cardiac catheterization, trauma medicine interventions, and ventilator management.
- Provide triage services for incoming patients, prioritizing care based on acuity levels in fast-paced environments.
- Support post-operative recovery by managing pain control protocols and wound care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans aligned with hospital standards and patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols while maintaining patient safety.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on patient outcomes and safety metrics.
Requirements
- Valid RN license in the state of practice; current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in emergency medicine, operating room procedures, or medical-surgical units within acute care settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is advantageous.
- Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure highly preferred.
- Skilled in advanced nursing procedures such as suturing, catheterization (urinary or vascular), phlebotomy, IV insertion/infusion management, and aseptic technique.
- Knowledge of hospital protocols for infectious disease control, trauma medicine practices, and acute pain management.
- Ability to adapt quickly to diverse clinical environments while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams across various healthcare settings.

Pay: $2,200.00 - $3,300.00 per week
