As a Cashier, you will operate the point of sale to accept payment for the merchandise, at the thrift store location in Golden Valley.You will assist in the display and pricing of the merchandise while maintaining general cleanliness and orderliness of the store displays.
Responsibilities:
- Receive legal tender as payment for merchandise and make accurate change, when required;
- Greet and assist customers with genuine hospitality;
- Assist with pricing merchandise under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager;
- Assist with displaying merchandise under the direction of the store Stagers and management;
- Maintain store cleanliness and orderly merchandise displays;
- Maintain adequate supply of cash for the purpose of providing change to the customer;
Qualifications:
- Use time efficiently and complete work with consistency and in a timely manner;
- Adapt to changes in the work environment and flexible work schedule;
- Transportation to and from work;
- Basic computer and mobile phone skills;
- Customer Service skills, including hospitality and friendliness;
- Manage difficult or emotional customer situations in a professional and hospitable manner;
- Demonstrate attention to details, demonstrating accuracy and proficiency;
- Respond positively to management instructions and direction;
- Follow safety and security procedures with accuracy;
- Self-starter and ability to work independently while ensuring quality work is performed
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
