As an RN Unit Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of an assigned nursing unit, lead and mentor nursing staff, ensure quality resident care, and help maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and supervision to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Manage daily clinical operations of an assigned skilled nursing unit.
- Ensure exceptional resident care and positive clinical outcomes.
- Conduct resident assessments and coordinate individualized care plans.
- Monitor physician orders and medication management.
- Support admissions, discharges, and care transitions.
- Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with CMS, OSHA, HIPAA, and South Carolina nursing regulations.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy, social services, dietary, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Promote a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, and compassionate care.
Qualifications
- Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum of one year of RN experience.
- Previous Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, or Long-Term Care leadership experience preferred.
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) preferred.
