The Role:
The Training and Education Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs for all hospital staff. This role ensures that employees are well-trained, knowledgeable, and compliant with hospital policies and industry standards. Collaborate with the Nursing Manager, Employee Experience Manager and other members of leadership to facilitate employee training and onboarding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development.
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and consultations with department heads.
- Design and update training materials, manuals, and resources.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars on various topics, including clinical procedures, customer service, and safety protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities and employee progress.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address training needs.
- Collaborate with the Employee Experience Manager on projects and hospital goals.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science, Education, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in veterinary practice, with at least 2 years in a training or supervisory role.
- Certification in training and development is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Ability to conduct training sessions in various settings, including clinical environments.
- Exposure to animals, including those that may be sick or injured.
