American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory position requiring 2-3 years of Cath Lab experience with Impella, telemetry, and IABP.

Work in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory under the direction of a Cardiologist
-
4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with no set day off
-
Evening and weekend call required for emergency procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
-
2-3 years of Cath Lab experience with Impella, telemetry, and IABP
-
Must be able to independently read telemetry strips and pass a telemetry exam on day one with 85% or better
-
IR experience preferred
-
RT(R) license required if applicable
-
ACLS and BLS certifications required
-
RCIS certification preferred

Perform hemodynamic monitoring, imaging, and ambulatory monitoring operations in the Cardiology department
-
Assist with radiologic operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab and perform quality control using optimum diagnostic imaging

Perform simple equipment troubleshooting and request service as needed

Complete patient billing forms for Cath Lab procedures

Perform daily calibration and maintenance of the film processor using sensitometric and densitometric equipment

Assist with preparation of cardiology patients undergoing invasive procedures

Maintain proficiency through continuing education credits

Maintain confidentiality and security of hospital, medical staff, and patient-related data and information
