Collier Construction is seeking a Communications & Business Relations Coordinator to support our business development, marketing, and communication efforts.
A primary focus of this position is managing the development of high-quality proposals and presentations -taking ownership of the RFQ and RFP process from initial interpretation through final submission.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Review and interpret RFQs and RFPs to identify submission requirements.
- Manage the proposal process from kickoff through final submission.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather project information, resumes, and technical content.
- Write, edit, and proofread proposals for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Ensure submissions are complete, compliant, visually polished, and consistent with company branding.
- Assist with qualification packages, proposals, and interview presentations.
- Maintain proposal templates, supporting materials, and content libraries.
Marketing and Digital Content
- Create and manage content for the company website and other digital platforms.
- Develop marketing materials, presentations, advertisements, and project updates.
- Plan, create, and schedule social media content.
- Track social media performance and identify opportunities to increase engagement.
- Gather and prepare project information, client testimonials, and other content that supports business development.
- Help maintain a consistent company brand across all materials and communications.
Events and Business Relations
- Assist with industry conferences, career fairs, networking events, and sponsorships.
- Help coordinate employee and company events.
- Support subcontractor lunches, ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, and similar events, including logistics, materials, and on-site assistance.
- Build positive working relationships with employees, clients, industry partners, and community organizations.
Internal Communications
- Support company-wide communication efforts that keep employees informed and engaged.
- Assist with employee recognition, milestone announcements, and company celebrations.
- Develop newsletters, company updates, and other employee communications.
- Reinforce Collier Construction’s values, culture, and key initiatives through clear and consistent communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of relevant professional experience.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience managing social media with a record of increasing engagement.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva, or similar tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with proposals, event planning, public relations, or sponsorships is a plus.
- Experience in the construction industry is helpful but not required.

ABOUT COLLIER CONSTRUCTION
Collier Construction is a commercial general contractor headquartered in Lubbock, with an additional office in Abilene and projects throughout West Texas. We believe in working hard, doing the right thing, and building strong relationships.
This position in based in our Lubbock office and will collaborate with teams across both offices to support business development, strengthen company communications, and help showcase our people and projects. We are looking for a dependable team player with strong communication, organizational, and technology skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
