Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility. The Plant Manager will ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while driving continuous improvement, meeting quality standards, and managing a cross-functional team. This role requires strong leadership, manufacturing expertise, and the ability to translate strategic goals into operational results.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality control, safety, and logistics to meet business targets and customer requirements.

Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing efficiency, yield, downtime, and on-time delivery; implement corrective actions as needed.

Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma) to reduce waste and improve productivity and quality.

Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations; maintain a strong safety record through training, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Manage plant budget, capital expenditures, and cost control measures; optimize resource allocation to improve profitability.

Coordinate production planning with supply chain and procurement to ensure material availability and minimize inventory costs.

Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience with at least 3 years in a plant leadership or management role.

Proven experience managing plant operations, production teams, and either continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing programs.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, drive cost improvements, and deliver measurable operational results.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.

Proficiency with manufacturing systems (e.g., MES, ERP) and performance monitoring tools.

Skills: Plant operations, team management, manufacturing process optimization, Lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
