JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking Machinist or CNC Operator to join our family owned, well-established North Carolina business. You will find a friendly, safe, and climate-controlled environment where premier medical phantoms are crafted. Operator is to safely perform the following functions:
1. Set up CNC machining jobs using written work instructions adhering to ISO 13485 standards.
2. Ensure part quality by following our Quality Management System (checking tolerances, making adjustments and documenting changes and daily production).
3. Be a TEAM PLAYER that helps improve processes, workflows, working conditions, etc. for the overall betterment of the company and work culture. This may include assisting with other manufacturing processes not limited to assembly, maintenance, and inventory control.
4. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep workstations safe, clean, and organized.
Notes:
● Attention to detail is imperative. The end goal is providing product to better serve patients through medical testing.
● Experience with plastics is preferred but not required. Most of the machining at Data
Spectrum is of acrylic plastic. Common metalworking equipment is used with some modification of cutters, speeds and feeds.
● Machinist-level CNC experience is preferred; 5+ years CNC operation required.
● Mazatrol (Mazak) programming experience is preferred, however machine-specific training is available.
● Lift Truck experience is desirable but not mandatory. On site certification is available.
● Applicants should be detail oriented, collaborative, and have a willingness to leave things better for the next person.

Hours: 40 hrs. Weekly. Could evolve into a second shift option. Training will be days.
