Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caring for children and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young learners. This role is essential in shaping the educational experiences of children, promoting their development, and ensuring they thrive academically and socially. We are a Christian Preschool. All curriculum is provided and bible based. This is a great job for mom's with students in grade school, or students to work part time. We do offer a tuition discount for staff children as space allows. 18 years old is the minimum age requirement And our church has a no men policy for under 4. Duties
- Assist the teachers in engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Manage time between two classrooms to assist with diaper changing, craps, at lunch.
- Assist with nap time and cleanup.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration among students.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, including hands-on activities, group work, and technology integration.
- Maintain an organized classroom that is conducive to learning while ensuring safety and cleanliness.
- Stay updated on educational trends, childhood development research, and best practices in teaching.
- Step in as the substitute when teachers are out.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective teaching strategies.
- Teachable and Trainable is a must.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in children.
