Field Supervisor – Scaffolding & Access Division
Job Description
Nova Construction Services is a leading exterior building renovation contractor serving New York City. We are seeking a Field Supervisor – Scaffolding & Access Division to oversee daily field operations for scaffolding, sidewalk shed, and access projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with OSHA, NYC DOB regulations, and company standards.
The ideal candidate is a proven construction leader with experience in scaffolding and access systems, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

· Supervise daily scaffolding, sidewalk shed, and access operations.
· Lead and oversee Foremen, field crews, and subcontractors.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, NYC DOB, and company safety standards.
· Conduct jobsite safety inspections and maintain required safety documentation.
· Verify scaffold and sidewalk shed inspections and regulatory compliance.
· Review construction drawings and coordinate work with Project Managers, General Contractors, and clients.
· Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and project logistics.
· Monitor field productivity, schedules, and quality of work.
· Review time entries, approve payroll hours, and manage overtime.
· Investigate incidents and ensure proper reporting and corrective actions.
· Train and mentor Foremen on safety, procedures, and leadership.
· Provide daily project updates, progress photos, and field reports.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
Requirements
· 5+ years of supervisory experience in scaffolding, access systems, or exterior construction.
· Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NYC DOB requirements, and scaffold systems.
· Experience leading multiple field crews and reading construction drawings.
· Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or Bluebeam is a plus.
· Valid driver's license and NYC SST Card required.
· NYC Scaffolding, Rigging, Hoisting, or related licenses preferred.
· Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
