Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, managing timely Customs duty payments, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial health. Responsibilities
- Manage Customs duties payments on time
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Perform account reconciliation tasks for general ledger accounts, including accounts receivable and payable, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and balanced
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
- Conduct journal entries and double-entry bookkeeping to accurately reflect financial activities in the accounting system
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by preparing necessary documentation and performing balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with internal controls compliance, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements, to safeguard company assets and ensure transparency
- Utilize Excel data analysis skills for financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and other ad hoc projects
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and account analysis
- Ability to work legally in the US
- Ability to work in person Monday thru Friday in office in Gardena, California
- Proficiency in financial software including QuickBooks and CBP ACE programs
- Familiarity with GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices preferred
- Experience with technical accounting issues such as revenue recognition or complex journal entries is a plus
- Strong numeracy skills coupled with excellent attention to detail for data entry and account reconciliation tasks
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating integrity in all activities
- Excellent communication skills for customer service interactions within finance teams or external auditors
- Adept at working with spreadsheets and accounting systems to perform Excel data analysis efficiently
- Fluency in Korean a plus
