Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare food items by scooping, topping, and serving ice cream in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Manage customer orders from start to finish, ensuring quick service and satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sanitizing counters, utensils, and equipment regularly.
- Upsell additional products like specialty sundaes or beverages to enhance the customer experience.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card transactions, and give accurate change.
Qualifications
- Prior food service or quick service restaurant experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and energetic demeanor.
- Ability to multitask efficiently during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in food handling environments.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment or serving in a café or retail setting is advantageous.
