Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers including refrigerated or intermodal containers across over-the-road (OTR) or regional routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and fuel efficiency
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries including bills of lading, logs, inspection reports, and compliance paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or safety concerns
- Mandatory random drug testing
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience with positive references as a CDL A driver with a strong track record in commercial truck driving
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers and intermodal containers
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT safety standards
- Experience handling logistics cargo
- Ability to operate automatic transmission trucks confidently and safely
- Prior route driving experience on OTR and/or regional routes
- Valid CDL A license
We are a small family-owned company looking to expand our fleet. Negotiable hours and preferred routes.
Pay: $0.50 - $0.84 per mile
