Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children with developmental disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorders.
- Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and strategies to address behavioral challenges and promote skill development.
- Provide direct behavioral therapy services to clients in various settings, such as homes, schools, or clinics.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistency and generalization of skills across environments.
- Monitor progress through ongoing data collection and analysis.
- Modify treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessment and data analysis.
- Provide training and support to parents and caregivers on implementing behavior management strategies.
Skills:
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
- Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism spectrum disorders.
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
- Ability to conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans.
- Proficient in data collection and analysis to inform treatment decisions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Ability to adapt interventions based on individual needs and progress.
