Job Overview
Penguin Coding School is looking for part-time teachers to teach computer coding and robotics to children between the ages 5-18. Penguin Coding Teachers teach from our proprietary project-based curriculum, and help children learn the fundamentals of coding & robotics.
High School & College students are encouraged to apply! During the school year, weekday shifts can begin between 3pm-4pm and anytime during the weekends. We maintain very small class sizes to provide the most effective instruction. Before setting foot in a classroom, new teachers will work with the head teacher to learn how to teach our unique curriculum.
We are looking for in-person teachers for Wellesley, Newton, Acton, Lexington and Brookline.
We teach using:
- Lego Robotics (all ages)
- Simple drag & drop coding: Scratch and Minecraft MakeCode for lower elementary grades
- Python and Roblox (Lua) for upper elementary & middle school kids
- Java & Python for computer science prep for middle school & high school kids.
- FLL (First Lego League) & FTC (First Tech Challenge) robotics
Qualifications
Successful candidates should have some experience working with kids and most importantly enjoy working with them.
Computer coding knowledge is useful but even a coding beginner can become a good teacher if you invest time learning our curriculum.

Hours per week: up to 3 to 25 hours per week
