The primary purpose of your job position is to assist the Activity Director in the planning, implementation and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisor.
Resident Care Responsibilities:
- Does not disclose resident protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
- Ensure that all care is provided in privacy, as appropriate, and to knock before entering a resident room or resident care area such as tub rooms.
- Report all grievances and complaints made by the resident, family, or visitors to the appropriate supervisor following the care center’s established procedures.
- Report to licensed staff any necessary observations made regarding potential changes in resident’s status, utilizing the STOP AND WATCH tool.
- Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement, so that care center activities and resident progress are evaluated, by noting, reporting, and charting resident behavior as directed.
- Follow the care plan in providing daily activities for the resident.
- Implement activity procedures as directed by the Activity Director by creating decorations, setting up necessary equipment, creating crafts, awarding prizes and escorting resident to and from activity area.
- Assist resident with crafts, projects etc., as necessary and/or directed.
- Oversee the resident engaged in scheduled activities to promote the physical, social, mental and spiritual well-being of resident by applying experience in activities and knowledge of diagnoses and conditions of resident.
- Encourage resident to participate in leisure pursuits, both individual and groups
- Transport resident to activities as applicable.
- Encourage and support the development of new interests, hobbies and skills.
