Speech-Language Pathologist, CCC
0.5 FTE Position, 2026-27 School Year
Located a 1/2 mile from the Atlantic Ocean and 15 minutes from Portland, RSU#23 is a 675 student, three school district seeking a half-time speech-language pathologist to join our amazing speech and language team. The successful candidate should possess the following:
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Maine Speech-Language Pathologist license
-
Current and valid CHRC
RESPONSIBILITIES / QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:
-
Provide services in both the mainstream and special education settings for students of all abilities
-
Conduct case management, including writing and maintaining compliant IEPs, as well as facilitating meetings

Determine need and administer appropriate assessments
-
Present evaluation results in a comprehensive manner and share results with team members, both orally and in written reports

Comply with all state and federal guidelines
-
Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share best practices
-
Excellent communication with parents, teachers, administration, community leaders, and other stakeholders to promote and support student success

Demonstrated ability of understanding and supporting the academic, social, and emotional needs of students with varying needs

Interest in participating in the school community outside of the classroom

Exemplary time management and organizational skills

Support a total communication approach that may include AAC devices
