Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair kitchen hood fire suppression systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire suppression systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with local codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design drawings, and CAD files to accurately install and service systems.
- Perform construction inspections related to system installation, ensuring adherence to plans, schematics, and building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients during system commissioning, providing technical guidance on system operation and maintenance.
- Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation for each job performed.
Skills
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to fire suppression systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting, sensors, low voltage electrical components, and alarm systems.
- Experience with system design principles using CAD software; understanding of schematics and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with construction inspection processes and adherence to safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with field service tasks involving hand tools, power tools, and troubleshooting equipment.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems sales processes and fire suppression sales strategies is a plus.
- CSA, NICET or Manufacturer Certifications a plus
Pay: $28.00 - $42.00 per hour
