Duties
- Provide engaging and safe supervision for children during afternoon hours, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, including toddler and infant meal routines, ensuring nutritious and balanced options
- Support children’s daily activities, including playtime, educational activities, and rest periods tailored to their age and developmental needs
- Perform light residential housekeeping tasks related to childcare, such as tidying play areas and organizing supplies
- Offer personal transportation assistance for children as needed, including school pickups or extracurricular activities
- Implement basic caregiving duties for children with disabilities or special needs, following individualized care plans
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding children’s progress, routines, and any concerns that arise
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in childcare settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, or nannying roles
- Demonstrated ability to care for multiple children simultaneously in private homes or childcare environments
- Knowledge of toddler care, infant care, and preschool-age child development best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; experience applying these skills confidently in emergency situations
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
- Familiarity with meal preparation tailored to young children’s dietary requirements
- Background in residential housekeeping related to childcare environments is a plus
