Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Flexo Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. Your expertise in machine operation, color management, and graphic design will ensure that each print run meets our rigorous standards for quality and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Operate flexo presses and large-format printers with precision, ensuring optimal print quality and consistency throughout each production run
- Adjust industrial equipment and machinery, including press operation, CNC machines, and screen printing setups, to meet specifications
- Manage color accuracy through effective color management techniques and utilize graphic design software to review layouts before printing
- Interpret production documents accurately, including job tickets, prepress files, and layout designs to facilitate smooth workflow
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical adjustments on printing equipment to minimize downtime
- Conduct quality control checks during production to identify defects or inconsistencies, making necessary adjustments promptly
- Collaborate with prepress teams using Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design tools to prepare files for printing
Skills
- Strong knowledge of flexo press operation, including mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment adjustment and machine calibration
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and prepress software for file preparation
- Expertise in color management techniques to ensure accurate color reproduction across various substrates
- Experience with cutting, paper binding, layout design, typography, and print advertising materials
- Familiarity with digital printing processes, CNC machining, screen printing, and large-format printers
- Ability to interpret complex manufacturing documents accurately while maintaining high standards of quality control
- Technical proficiency in industrial equipment adjustment, machining, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
