About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the upkeep and optimal performance of our plant's machinery and equipment. In this role, you will be instrumental in troubleshooting malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems will directly contribute to our operational efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities
- Uphold a strong commitment to workplace safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic systems, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in malfunctioning systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Connect wiring to components such as circuit breakers and transformers, adhering to safety standards.
- Fabricate and install mechanical parts, ensuring precise fit and functionality.
- Ensure electrical equipment meets regulatory requirements at all levels.
- Contribute to safety and quality programs by following established processes and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in using shop tools, both hand and power, demonstrating safe and effective techniques.
- Experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and high lift.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for advanced processing equipment, CNC machines, and material handling systems.
- Knowledge of laser alignment, vibration monitoring, and predictive/preventive maintenance.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for troubleshooting.
- Welding certification.
- Competent with programming of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
- Proficient in testing electrical systems and circuits using testing devices.
