Wee Folk Childcare is seeking a passionate, energetic, and dependable Preschool Lead Teacher to join our growing team! If you love inspiring young children, creating engaging learning experiences, and making a lasting impact, we’d love to meet you.
As our Preschool Lead Teacher, you will create a safe, nurturing, and fun learning environment while helping children build the academic, social, and emotional skills they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily activities.
- Create a welcoming classroom that promotes curiosity, creativity, and independence.
- Foster children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a structured classroom using positive guidance and behavior management techniques.
- Observe, assess, and document each child’s progress.
- Communicate professionally with families regarding their child’s growth and development.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to provide a high-quality early learning experience.
- Ensure compliance with North Dakota childcare licensing regulations and Wee Folk Childcare policies.
- Maintain accurate attendance, lesson plans, developmental assessments, and classroom documentation.
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and safe for all children.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a preschool or early childhood education setting preferred.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass all required background checks and meet North Dakota childcare licensing requirements.
