All Med Search has been retained to recruit an Infection Preventionist / Quality Coordinator (RN) for a community based acute care hospital in rural Tennessee (about 2.5 hours from Nashville)
This leadership role is responsible for coordinating the hospital's Infection Prevention, Employee Health, Quality, and Patient Safety programs. The successful candidate will work closely with hospital leadership, medical staff, and department managers to support regulatory compliance, patient safety initiatives, performance improvement activities, and infection prevention strategies throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the facility's Infection Prevention and Employee Health programs.
- Conduct surveillance, investigation, analysis, and reporting of healthcare associated infections.
- Monitor infection prevention practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, update, and maintain infection prevention policies, procedures, and educational programs.

- Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across the organization.
- Assist with regulatory readiness and compliance activities.
- Coordinate required infection prevention and quality reporting to external agencies.
- Perform chart reviews, data collection, auditing, and performance improvement activities.
- Provide education and training to clinical and non clinical staff.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and department directors to improve patient outcomes and reduce risk.
Qualifications
- Current RN license required.
- Associate degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience.
- Case Management experience a plus
- Infection Prevention experience in an acute care hospital essential.
- Quality, Patient Safety, Regulatory, or Performance Improvement experience preferred.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of CMS, CDC, OSHA, accreditation standards, infection surveillance, and quality reporting processes preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
$80,000 - $90,000 (depends on experience), comprehensive benefits, paid time off, retirement plan, and relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
