Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients in mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's overall well-being.
- Monitor and document clients' health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with basic medical tasks under supervision.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in personal care or related fields such as home care, assisted living, or long-term care is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
