About TLC Learning Center

As an Infant/Toddler Teacher, you'll play an essential role in supporting children from infancy through age three by creating meaningful learning experiences while partnering with families and a collaborative team of educators and therapists.
What You'll Do
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for infants and toddlers.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, language, social-emotional, physical, and adaptive development.
- Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, toileting, naps, transitions, and outdoor play.
- Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD.
- Collaborate with therapists and other professionals to support individualized goals and inclusive classroom practices.
- Build positive relationships and maintain regular communication with families regarding their child's development and daily activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that meets Colorado licensing and health and safety standards.
- Follow lesson plans and classroom routines while adapting activities to meet the individual needs of each child.
- Participate in staff meetings, coaching, professional development, and PDIS-required training.
- Maintain accurate attendance, classroom documentation, and required records.
- Support parent conferences and family engagement opportunities throughout the year.
- Serve as a positive ambassador for TLC Learning Center during community and family events.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or young children in an educational or childcare setting.
- CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Basic computer skills, including email, online training platforms, and electronic documentation.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a Colorado Early Childhood Professional Credential.
- Ability to successfully complete fingerprinting, background checks, and a physical examination in accordance with Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or a related field.
- One or more years of experience in a licensed infant or toddler classroom.
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP), Pyramid Plus, and inclusive early childhood education.
- Experience partnering with families and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, and move children and classroom materials up to 40 pounds.
- Sit on the floor, bend, kneel, squat, reach, and move throughout the classroom and playground.
- Respond quickly to children's physical and emotional needs.
- Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and sanitation according to health and safety standards.
