Job Summary
CrewPros is seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead the execution of high-quality residential remodeling and construction projects, with a primary focus on kitchens, bathrooms, whole-house remodels, and home additions.
This leadership role is responsible for managing a team of Project Managers and Field Superintendents, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship and client satisfaction. The Production Manager serves as the key bridge between sales/design and field operations, driving efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the production department.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Directly supervise, mentor, and evaluate Project Managers and Field Superintendents
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and team development sessions
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement
- Recruit, train, and retain top talent for the production team
Project Oversight & Execution
- Oversee the full lifecycle of multiple concurrent projects from permit through final punch list and homeowner orientation
- Ensure all projects meet or exceed client expectations for quality, schedule, and budget
- Review and approve job schedules, budgets, change orders, and job cost reports
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, delays, or quality issues proactively
- Conduct regular job site visits and quality control inspections
Process & Operational Excellence
- Develop, implement, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production, scheduling, subcontractor management, and material procurement
- Optimize resource allocation (labor, subcontractors, materials, and equipment) across the project portfolio
- Work closely with the Sales and Design teams to ensure smooth and realistic project scope
- Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, including bidding, negotiation, and performance evaluation
- Monitor key performance metrics (on-time completion, budget variance, client satisfaction scores, rework percentage, etc.)
Client Experience & Communication
- Serve as an escalation point for client concerns during the construction phase
- Ensure consistent and professional communication throughout the project
- Oversee final walkthroughs, punch list completion, warranty, and homeowner training on new systems
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all projects comply with building codes, permitting requirements, safety regulations (OSHA), and company policies
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records
- Manage insurance claims and risk mitigation on job sites
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 7+ years of progressive experience in residential remodeling or construction, with strong focus on kitchens, baths, and whole-house projects
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing Project Managers, Superintendents, or similar field/production teams
- Deep knowledge of residential construction means and methods, including structural additions, high-end finishes, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining high client satisfaction
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., BuilderTrend, CoConstruct, JobTread, or similar), scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field
- Industry certifications (e.g., CGR, CAPS, CKBR, or similar) are a plus
- Experience scaling production teams in a growing remodeling company

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Base Salary
- Performance Bonuses: Quarterly bonuses % based on on-time and on-budget project metrics
- Change Order Bonus: % of gross profit on all PM-generated change orders

Training & Development
We invest in our team. Approved continuing education is required and supported with a dedicated budget. You will collaborate on an annual training plan for the production staff. Continued employment for 12 months post-training is expected (with repayment agreement if not met).
