Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across our facilities. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safety standards are upheld, and operational disruptions are minimized. Responsibilities
- General building and property maintenance
- Drywall patching and repair
- Painting and touch-ups
- Plumbing repairs, unclogging toilets and drains, fixing leaks
- Basic electrical work, including lights, switches, and outlets
- Basic HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance
- Door, lock, hinge, and hardware repairs
- Minor carpentry and wood repairs
- Ceiling tile and wall repairs
- Repairing fences, gates, signage, and exterior fixtures
- Preventative maintenance and property inspections
- Preparing spaces for new tenants
- Helping with renovation, construction, and tenant improvement projects
- Installing fixtures, equipment, shelving, and other property items
- Working with outside contractors when specialized work is required
- Identifying and addressing maintenance issues before they become bigger problems
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance, handyman work, construction, facilities, property maintenance, or a related field
- Experience with several of the following: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, carpentry, or general building maintenance
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and in groups
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Able to travel between properties throughout the South Bay
- Good communication and professional attitude
- Able to perform physical work, including lifting and using ladders
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely in diverse environments.
