Mountain View Animal Emergency is a full service, 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital located in Hagerstown. Serving the tri-state area since 2008, MVAE provides emergency care to dogs and cats. Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully an individual should be able to perform the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
● Maintaining laundry for the hospital which includes washing, drying, and folding.
● Cleaning kennels/cages and workstations after they have been used.
● Keeping all areas of the hospital well stocked, clean and ready for the next patient or client.
● Maintaining general cleanliness of the hospital including sweeping/mopping, taking out trash, cleaning dishes, and etc.
● Cleaning and sterilizing surgery and surgical instruments so the suite/pack is ready for the next patient.
● Unpacking supplies that could weigh up to 35 pounds and putting them away in their designated locations.
● Providing aftercare for deceased patients.
General Responsibilities/Duties:
● Setting up procedures for the technician, under guidance, and cleaning up those supplies when the procedure is finished.
● Communicating with team members to decide where help is needed.
● Assisting in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by obtaining items needed or recording events.
● Walking, feeding, and taking patients up to discharge with the guidance of a technician.

1 Year Minimum ER Experience Required
