Overview
A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a high-volume production facility. This role will be responsible for leading production teams, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, driving operational efficiency, and supporting on-time production goals.
This is a hands-on leadership position with full accountability for shift performance, employee supervision, production scheduling support, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong floor presence, the ability to coach and develop employees, and experience driving accountability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
We have 2 shifts open.
1st shift: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2nd shift: Monday through Friday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily production operations on assigned shift
- Maintain strong floor presence and employee accountability
- Ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operation of production equipment and processes
- Support on-time delivery and production schedules
- Promote and maintain high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
- Train, coach, and develop production associates
- Complete employee performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback
- Verify daily labor times and department staffing needs
- Participate in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally to reduce process variation and improve operational performance
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company procedures
- Assist with accident investigations and corrective actions when necessary
- Support scheduling activities to meet production and shipment demands
- Handle confidential and sensitive employee matters professionally
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Experience
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
- 5+ years of manufacturing or production experience
- 3+ years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations professionally
