Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at JPS Northeast Elementary as a Full-Time In School Tutorial Room Teacher. This role is pivotal in providing targeted academic support to students who require additional assistance in their learning. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters student engagement, encourages academic growth, and helps students develop the skills necessary for success in their educational journey.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students in the tutorial room.
- Assess student progress regularly through formal and informal assessments, providing feedback to students and parents as necessary.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to identify students in need of additional support and develop strategies for improvement.
- Create a positive and structured learning environment that promotes student confidence and motivation.
- Utilize various teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to student learning.

- Supervise students during tutorial sessions, ensuring a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Assist in the planning and execution of school-wide events and initiatives that promote academic success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in the state of [State] with a focus on elementary education.
