American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit position in Winchester, TN, requiring at least 1 year of BH and Med/Surg experience on a night shift schedule.

Work is performed on a 12-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit within an acute care hospital setting
-
Patient population is geriatric, with dementia as a common diagnosis and treatment focus
-
Team nursing model is used for patient ratios
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating required on an as-needed basis
-
No on-call requirements

EMR: Meditech
-
13-week contract
-
Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN or Compact state license) required

Required certifications: BLS and CPI/HWC (AHA-issued certifications required); all certifications must be obtained prior to start

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required, including behavioral health and Med/Surg experience

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Previous behavioral health experience is preferred

Orientation is conducted weekly on Mondays

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible

Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible

Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear and other facility-branded clothing are not permitted

The facility is a Level II Trauma Center
