VTG is seeking a Systems Administrator to work at the Quantico, VA office. This position requires a hands-on administrator to manage day-to-day system operations while leading small project initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong infrastructure administration skills with collaborative project experience.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Troubleshooting and resolving server issues including connectivity, storage, service status, application status, availability, and physical hardware.
- Monitoring system performance and reporting on anomalies.
- Regularly performing and maintaining data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Applying technical and business experience and understanding to improve processes and procedures for deploying and maintaining system infrastructure.
- Working independently and collectively to help improve system solutions and contributing to system service improvements.
- Deploying, testing, certifying, patching, and addressing interoperability issues for all features, components, and application dependencies.
Required Skills
- US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance.
- Minimum of 5 years experience recommended. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
Desired Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in tools such as AWS, Microsoft, Windows Server, Citrix, NetApp, Dell Unity, Dell Avamar, Hyper-V, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, WSUS, and BigFix, JIRA.
- Experience delivering excellence in Federal Government (preferably the Department of Justice) cybersecurity and working within DOJ FBI, practices, standards, processes and policies.
- Interest in new technologies and the ability to adapt to those new technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to document Standard Operating procedures.
- Experience developing or supporting RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with IIS based applications and sites.

Pay: Up to $105,000.00 per year
