Puesto is preparing for an exciting new chapter: our first restaurant outside of California.
Located in the heart of Nashville, this opening represents far more than a new restaurant. It's the beginning of our expansion into a new market and a unique opportunity to help shape the future of our company.
We're seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Chef de Cuisine to join our opening leadership team. This role is ideal for a culinary leader who thrives in high-volume, chef-driven restaurants and is energized by building teams, developing talent, and creating memorable guest experiences.
As Chef de Cuisine, you will play a critical role in introducing the Puesto story, culture, and culinary standards to Nashville. You'll partner closely with company leadership to build and mentor the culinary team while executing the systems, standards, and hospitality that have made Puesto one of California's most celebrated restaurant groups.
What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Executive Sous Chef, or comparable culinary leadership role
High-volume, full-service restaurant experience
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
Experience managing labor, food cost, inventory, and kitchen operations
Experience in opening new restaurants is highly preferred
A passion for hospitality, craftsmanship, and developing great people
What You'll Do
Build, develop, and lead a high-performing kitchen team
Ensure exceptional food quality, consistency, and execution
Manage daily operations, food safety, labor, inventory, and cost controls
Coach and develop Sous Chefs and the culinary team members
Partner with company leadership to successfully open and establish Puesto in Nashville
Serve as a cultural ambassador for the Puesto brand while creating memorable guest experiences
