Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in periodontal/oral surgery is not necessary, but candidates must be interested in learning to assist dental implant placement and other periodontal surgery.
Responsibilities:
· Assist dentists with patient care procedures
· Prepare patients and operatories for dental procedures
· Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment
· Take dental X-rays and digital impressions
· Maintain dental records and clinical notes
· Track and manage clinic supplies
· Provide patient education and answer questions
· Perform required equipment testing and maintenance
Experience/Qualifications:
· 3 years of previous dental assistant experience REQUIRED
· Active Maryland State Board Radiation Technologist certification REQUIRED
· Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)
· CPR Certification
· Experience using ITERO and MEDIT intraoral scanners in addition to using a CBCT machine for 3D imaging preferred. (We can offer training if you don’t have experience)
· Experience with SoftDent practice management system preferred.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy equipment, and perform repetitive tasks
· Experience with Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word and Outlook preferred.
· Typing proficiency preferred.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
